I'm sort of ambivalent about this. Personally, I don't put any stickers of any kind on my truck, but that's just me. The point about such stickers potentially making your vehicle a target for theft has already been made.

In this particular case, on the one hand, an NRA sticker may have some deterrent effect. On the other - since his wife doesn't want to have a gun in a car, the guy a sticker wouldn't deter is now expecting a deadly weapon, and his wife wouldn't have one ...

Great job by wife! And thanks for posting. Gave me something to go through with the kids. And yet another reason to avoid drive throughs. A few good options have been mentioned, such as running into the restaurant, but I think all in all, your wife handled it perfectly. Congrats to her.

#1. I'm very gald that your wife is unhurt. I hope that the experience wasn't too hard on her.

#2. She displayed excellent decision making, and from where I sit she did everything right in reacting to the situation. If I had been in the same situation and carrying, I would have done the same thing. Allowing the police to deal with someone that is acting in a threatening manner but is not likely to cause injury unless they change their behavior is the right course of action in my books.

#3. Even if she's not eligible for a CHL, she can probably have a concealed firearm in the car under the Motorist Protection Act. If she's comfortable with this course of action and competent in the operation of a firearm (I don't want to make assumptions) this might be something worth looking into.

#4. If she cannot or chooses not to take advantage of the MPA, perhaps a taser or OC?
