Blowing this out into some sort of supposedly ignorant statement that no black people were persecuted is the height of libtard hypocrisy. He is merely describing the people he knew. Others then respond incredulously that other blacks were persecuted, thus attempting to perpetuate the racist myth that all black Americans are a single universal monolith of identical experience that serves liberal political purposes.
In the libtard mind, not towing the party line makes you an ignorant redneck racist.
Hardly, but I like the insult. I'll admit to not being called a libtard before. It helps balance the many times I've been called repug and nazi by lefties.

And the winner... DUCK DYNASTY for creating another reason to talk about them.

About three months later, he came crawling back to his estranged wife, Miss Kay. Phil desperately wanted his family back. Willie Robertson, Phil’s son and CEO of Duck Commander, writes in his autobiography,
“Fortunately for all of us, Kay was strong enough to forgive Phil and take him back. But she took him back with the following conditions: Phil had to quit drinking and walk away from his rowdy friends.”

Not sure what the motivation was for picking out that particular quote. It has little to do with the big picture.

The reason was marketing. It was a good "headline" or "attention grabber" quote. One that would hopefully entice people to go read the blog, the entire blog, and maybe be surprised by what else they find. Quite a few in this thread seem to be bias against the family and seem to think they know them, so the quote was picked to feed into that. I didn't want to give away the next few sentences in the article...the "punchline."
Looks like we have people misjudging motivations on both sides of the isle
But back on topic, if I was in the market I would consider one of these as a "color option." It would have to be the right gun I would want first though. I would not buy one simply because it has the Duck Commander brand on it.

Actually I didn't judge your motivation at all. I said I wasn't sure what the motivation was. Two very different things. Difficult to judge someone's motivation when you have no clue what it is, don't you think?

Nothing I wrote was directed personally at you. Instead it was intended and stated to draw distinctions between vast differences in socio-political beliefs between a huge group in this country that I and others refer to as "libtards" and the rest of us common sense Americans.

The motivation was to show that he is not now the man he was then. That's relevant to any discussion about his past.

I'm not seeing anything different other than a camo pattern.
I was thinking the same thing.
