So let me get this straight:

Jade Helm 15 is a massive domestic counterinsurgency operation involving the entire SF community and private organizations...but a State Guard commander is going to keep tabs on it?
Guess it's better than just making tinfoil hats.
but I had my tinfoil hat ready to go!

Pretty embarrassing. Yes?
I thought more of Abbott.

Maybe I'm missing the logic of this move? :bigear:
There's no logic to it. If such a conspiracy exists, sending a career reservist with no tabs to get to the bottom of it is about as useful as peeing into Lake Ray Hubbard to raise the level of the lake.

I think it's more about the resources available to him than anything else. By tasking the Commander of the State Guard (Who answers to the TAG), he is allowing the use of the resources available without tasking the part of the force (Army or Air National Guard) that also has a federal mission. The State Guard has no federal mission, and answers ONLY to the TAG. MG Betty is no slouch....https://txmf.us/txsg-command-group

Looking at obvious facts:

1) It seems obvious the "plumbing problem" story is false. Do I have hard evidence? No. Why then the closings in such widely separated places?

2) There have been so called "labor activist" protests at a few WalMarts around the country of late. WalMart reportedly will not allow unionization of their employees.

3) So why close six stores all on the same day for the same reason for the same length of time? It is a message (written in blood, they used to say). A message for us? No. A message for WalMart employees that they could be next. The message is simple: talk about unionizing and you'll be out of a job like these poor souls. Harsh but very effective.

Given the track records of unions, I can't really say I blame WalMart. Turning WalMart stores into FEMA camps? No. We only do that with football stadiums! :biggrinjester:

Its a sad day when martial law is a more believable prospect than Walmart being mean.

Cancelled in Victoria and Goliad for some reason.

If I had to guess, the units responsible for that area may have become unavailable - deployment or something that takes a precedent to training

Maybe they found out how many CHL holders are in the 2 towns and didn't want to try any funny stuff? :biggrinjester:

Probably not. I think the per capita number of CHL holders in both places is less than the state average, and significantly less than in urban areas like Houston. I don't remember the numbers for Goliad and Victoria counties, but last time I checked the rate was 1 CHL for every 100 people in Lavaca county. :thumbs2:

CHL maybe, but what about long guns? I bet those outnumber citizens.

In similar news, have any of you seen this before?

In yet another disconcerting sign of Obama’s America, Special Forces out of Fort Bragg are training with SWAT officers in South Carolina this week for house to house raids.

Its not any different than training army medics in the E.R. at a major trauma center. If you want to learn how to do something, go where the action is and find the guys who know how to do it.

Pretty sure this isn't something new, but Jade Helm is driving these people nuts and they're finding conspiracy theories everywhere.

I thought about that and also really wondered who was training who. With the amount of urban combat folks are seeing over in the sand they may have more experience than many stateside LE agencies.
