Yes, I do. You can't get a 4473 from ATF unless you're a dealer, and if you did manage to get ahold of one and fill it out, it would be meaningless. Who do you think you'd return it to at ATF? They don't maintain 4473s: dealers do.

You presented this as a way to avoid questions about straw purchase vs. gifts. Here's the simple, ATF-approved, legal way to handle this: if you're buying a firearm to give as a gift, you are the "actual purchaser of this firearm", and when the 4473 asks that question, the correct answer is "yes".

You're free to give it to whomever you wish, the moment you walk out of the store (providing they may legally possess it). That is not a straw purchase, and it is not illegal, provided it is a bona fide gift.
