Ahhhhh, not quite. I'll bet she's proud of her
silly ideas, but she does not believe herself to be a moron.
Very few people do, especially those who really
are morons.
That's why if she or someone like her spouted some nonsense like that, that was so easily refuted, I would take the trouble to refute it, so that I could then ask her how such a stupid idea ever got into her head.
My goal would be to make her
actually realize that she was a moron.
And I have found that it is not always a hopeless quest. Sure, there's the nature/nurture thing. But many morons are "redeemable" in that they are only morons because they have fallen into dogmatic ways of thinking - or been led there by poor educators and possibly peer groups.
And of course even if she was beyond "redemption", I'm sure I could thoroughly upset her and make her uncomfortable with some of her silly notions, and less willing to spout them off in public.
