Taypo, Now don't go getting defensive. Empathy does not mean you have to think like them. Just put yourself in his shoes and consider if it was you that was being judged and executed on the street without due process. Did the punishment fit the crime?
Further, far be it for me to insist you be "sad". I'm just saying condoning such is bad for society and our country. Disappointed you chose not to see that but that is your choice. Just don't get up in arms if you happen to be the one executed on the side of the road some time.
We can't always succumb to and act on our feelings.

No defense here, partner. I refuse to put myself in his shoes.
Why?
Because I'm not a wife beater, nor would I do something to give me the appearance of one. There are details here that none of us know. Once we're aware of reason, record and circumstance I may prove myself wrong but I doubt it. You and I both know the media is going to make this guy out to be an angel, but I'm confident the reality is far different.
And if it was me in this situation, the cops wouldn't need to put me down on the front lawn. My wife would have done it for them. Repeatedly.
Edit: Shockingly enough, this little angel has at least two arrests including an aggravated robbery charge.

As much as I support our officers, if they keep pulling crap like this, it's a matter of time before full on war is initiated against all cops by people. Shootings like that of the deputy in Harris county will become common.

If this guy was innocent of beating or slashing his family, why was he not giving aid to his family?

I wish their were more women out there like this who would not put up with a man putting there hands on them. The woman in this story should of been the one that shot this guy when he was attacking her, not the deputies.
One thing I am sure of, he will never hit a woman again.

I'm interested in the
entire unedited video. Those videos stop before the guy is shot. I am interested to see if there was any movement or if I can see if the guy drops something between when the video stops and when he is shot.

Here is the full video. The man is shot at about the one minute mark. The video is 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

Of course they are. DoJ will be next on scene, followed closely by whatever group is speaking for victims of whatever ethnicity this guy was.

I don't condone wife beaters, but I condone LEOs that are judge, jury, and executioner even less. This was THE incident that was caught on video. I wonder how many more go down without video. From what I see on the video, those aren't the LEOs that I want working for me.

The PD account of the incident was provided without knowing about that video and it seems to differ. It makes you wonder how many incidents go down like this that aren't caught on video... From what I see, those aren't the LEOs that I want working for me. If you want to hire thugs to dispense justice, I hope you're never on the wrong side of their interest and in a place without video.

It wouldn't cover the shooting. If you look he is kind of behind the SUV the cops seemed to have been in. Also you cannpt see the left hand as it's being blocked by a pole.
