I also carry P320 compact in 9mm IWB... definitely a little bulky, but, with the grip options and available exchange kits, it can be configured pretty well to your personal needs... can't go wrong with Sig...

Yep, I think you will just have to go with the "get one of each" approach.

What about S&W? Anything in their line up I should consider?

The M&P is a S&Wshows you how much I've looked at them so far eh? I was wondering how we'd gotten into page 3 without S&W mentioned tho
I honestly even expected some glock pushing by now (not that dad hasn't tried that for 28 years)
There are several others not mentioned, H&K, Ruger, Kahr etc.. You could be in for a long day trying to decide.

Re: Variety is the Spice of Life
I like the Kahr PM9 for safety reasons (long trigger pull) and the fact it's accurate for me. One downside is it won't feed properly without some steam behind the slide. In the manual it says to drop the slide with the release to chamber a round.
Sig's P320 is oddly compelling. Because of the modular design, the subcompact feels pretty much just like the full size version, and you can feed full size 17 round magazines into the subcompact if you want. Too much weight for me. I stick with a spare 12 round.
Mine is not 50 state legal, so it has no operator safeties at all. I'm always very, very careful reholstering. Call it a connoisseur's gun, not for handling without practice. Very nice action, though. Gently easing the slide forward chambers a round just fine.
If I could only have one gun out of my little collection, it might well be the P320 - if it weren't for the Kimber Ultra Carry. I know some folks think they are sort of the Yugo of high end 1911's, but I like mine.

TT - how do you like that Sig 226-Mk25? I've been having GAS (gun acquisition syndrome) for that one a while.

I've been happy with the out of box performance of my H & K USPc.

I was looking for an H&K USP Compact 9mm when I bought my Sig P239.WTR wrote:I've been happy with the out of box performance of my H & K USPc.
I really liked that the H&K has a safety/decocker that can be carried cocked and locked or decocked and DA.
Ultimately I figure that I would have always carried it decocked, so the safety would be unnecessary.

I was hesitant at first. It's big, and I'm partial to a manual safety, but it only took about 3 rounds for me to learn my lesson....bblhd672 wrote:TT - how do you like that Sig 226-Mk25? I've been having GAS (gun acquisition syndrome) for that one a while.
