I work half a mile from where those pictures were taken...

Someone mentioned not realizing there were alligators in Texas. I go white bass fishing with my uncles on the Lampasas River upstream from Stillhouse Lake, which is just northwest of Salado. A guy that lives out there told my uncle that he'd seen a large alligator in the river. We were skeptical until I found this pdf on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.

My mother had an alligator in the pond where she lives just northeast of Allen. Can't recall the town name....memory fading. Anyway, that bobcat would get some serious attention form my Beretta Cougar if it even reared its head near me. They're just not worth messing with. We used to have coyotes near our home in another state and they'd come in and eat people's cats and kill small dogs. It got to where small children weren't allowed to play outside after dark. I say they need to impose a local hunting ordinance for nuisance anmals. I know alot of places are ovverun by squirrels and rabbits because there's no tcontrol put in place for them other than cars running over the occasional redent who's not fast enough.

It was I who mentioned that. There is actually an alligator reserve somewhere south of Dallas. It was on the news a few years ago when they were talking about the 14 foot plus alligator that lives / lived in Lake Lewisville.

It was out in Fairview......about 5 miles east of 75 (east of the Allen outlet mall)

I have tracked a mountain lion in western Terry county, and was called about one that supposedly had been hit on Highway 62/82 25 miles SW of Lubbock. It was gone when I got there, and I have my doubts about it, but the site was only a few miles from where I had tracked one a few years ago.

There are a few up north along the Canadian river as well.

8 years ago I had the opportunity to see one take down a dog just south of the Brazos river between Graford and Palo Pinto.

I would'nt be surprised to see a few up around the Canadian or around Pala Duro Canyon.
