Thats me, I haven't had a ticket (knock on wood) or even been pulled over in ten years and I've got NRA and gun stickers on mine and the wife's truck. They don't care. We spend a lot of time in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio as well as here in Odessa/Midland. Cops are smarter then that. And I'm six foot one, three hundred pounder with bushy sideburns and a polkie dotted welding cap, so I REALLY look like a bubba, and they don't bother me.

Hoss, you must tell your son if he's gonna remove the welding cap he must replace it with a proper cowboy hat.
Next time he comes to Dallas tell him to go over to Garland to the Stetson Hat Factory store and get a "second" and save money.
Interestingly, I've seen Germans, Japanese, Italian tourists in there, buying cowboy hats ....

We both used to wear cowboy hats but we got tired of chasing them down in our West Texas wind.............

I saw a guy in a bigger truck than mine (yes, I was jealous) with a toolbox with a huge Remington sticker on it. He also had a sticker with a sixgun on it that read "I'm your huckleberry." I've been looking for that sticker.
I'm not putting my NRA sticker or any others on until I have my CHL, as I still don't have it yet due to complications and I DO carry a shotgun. Not that it's illegal, but I don't need any hassles while I'm working.
I believe some police will see it and pull you over for a sticker (Highland Park comes to mind). Most cops probably wouldn't even care, but there's always that one...
