I had an FFL that I let lapse during the Clinton fiasco. When the BATFE decided to require dealers to comply with local zoning ordinances, I chose not to renew rather than trying to get a zoning variance. (They are available in Friendswood now.)

I use MRVMAX (Modern Defensive Measures) in Friendswood for all of my transfers. He's not only reasonable on his fees, he has been a big supporter of the PSC Juniors Program and the Youth Action Pistol League. He did the transfers for all of the guns related to those programs at no charge.
