Tarrant County (which includes Fort Worth) is reporting that out of over 820,000 votes cast, Biden beat Trump by a little over 400 votes.

Somewhere over $100 million was spent in Texas trying to turn us blue. It didn't work. We lost one Texas House seat that was help by a Republican the NRA didn't even endorse. She was no loss. However, it's a wash since we knocked off an F-rated Democrat. We lost one seat in the Texas Senate, but we still have an 18 to 13 majority. Unless I'm mistaken, we didn't lose any Republicans in Congress. Overall, this is a huge win for us and a devastating loss for the "turn Texas blue" movement.

I was having a discussion with someone the other day. 100 million is ALOT of money. But was it really wasted? Think about where that money goes. They spend it on TV ads, so doesn't a large amount go into the hands of people like Bloomberg? Many of the TV and radio stations are owned by large conglomerates, which in turn tend to donate to left leaning campaigns. Effectively, they move money from one pocket to the other.

By contrast, right leaning candidates and organizations who have to use those same TV and radio stations to stay competitive, are potentially adding to the coffers of a future political rival. Food for thought.
