The question that bothers me is why she wanted to convict George if the evidence didn't support it.

Some people believe there is no such thing as a justified killing. Every killing is murder.

Austin Police Shooting Martin/Zimmerman Similarities?

An Austin Detective shot a man yesterday with lots of similarities to the Martin/Zimmerman Case. I would not want to be that officer. Here is a link:

http://www.kvue.com/news/Officer-involv ... 61931.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Apparent Similarities:

1.) Black victim, White shooter;
2.) Victim was at a bank that had been robbed earlier by a White person, and bank official went outside to visit, thought he was suspicious, but no criminal conduct, and told Detective, who went out to visit the person. Per news report, after a few minutes Victim took off, and Detective chased. No indication of any crime, that Victim was being legally detained, or under arrest;
3.) Detective catches up, physical fight ensues, and Detective shoots and kills the man;
4.) Per story, police are not saying if man had a gun????; and
5.) Detective obviously trained in hand to hand combat, and use of weapons.

This will be very interesting to watch. Will they No Bill, Charge and make officer go to trial? What position will the Community, NAACP, ACLU, Police Monitor, and State's Attorney take? How will they try to distinguish this from Florida?

Officer may want to hire Zimmerman's attorneys. They provided capable representation for a citizen who has the same rights as a law enforcement officer to defend themselves.....if in fear of imminent serious injury or death.

What does this mean? The odd phrasing must have some underlying meaning.
Manley says a bank manager stepped outside to try and speak with the man, and “the individual identified himself in a manner in which the bank manager recognized was not an accurate identification."

Could just be me, but other than a black man being shot, I don't see any similarities in 1-5 with the Zimmerman case.
1. Zimmerman is not White.
2. Other than being a place where a crime had occurred previously, nothing in common with Zimmerman case. Z did not chase TM, he briefly followed to keep visual contact and then returned to his truck.
3. Z did not try to catch or detain TM, very different circumstances.
4. Never a question if TM had a gun.
5. Z had no defensive skills whatsoever.

Look at the Casey Anthony trial, also in Florida. It's hard to believe none of the jurors thought she killed her baby, but much easier to believe they didn't think the prosecution proved it beyond a reasonable doubt. In the end, Casey Anthony was only convicted of making false statements to law enforcement.

1.) White/Hispanic, regardless, Victim was black;
2.) Could be seen as worse for officer if he did not have probable cause to believe deceased had committed a crime, or was not legally detained;
3.) Could be seen as worse for officer (see #2);
4.) Depends on whether officer had reason to believe deceased had a weapon, and some people's view that a gun is not appropriate if the other did not have a weapon. Was the officer injured....a Big Factor in Zimmerman;
5.) Exactly. I could be seen as worse for officer who obviously did have defensive skills....but ultimately shot. There are a number in the community who could/probably will raise the reasonableness of necessity of a firearm. In Z, testimony was T was better able to defend himself....which could be a question here.

Hope all goes well for the officer, but wouldn't want to be in his shoes in Austin!!!

Robert Zimmerman is George Zimmerman's bother. Robert Zimmerman is Bob Dylan's real name.

George Zimmer was fired by the company he founded. I guarantee it!

Like I said, the cases have very little in common.

Zimmerman's "Felony" Assault Charge
According to (blanked out) he, Zimmerman and their friends did not know the person who grabbed their friend was a (UC) officer and followed their friend outside. After seeing their friend held up against a wall, (blanked out) explained that Zimmerman walked toward his friend and the UC officer (still not realizing the person was in fact an officer) and placed his hand on the officer asking what was happening, Zimmerman was then put onto the ground by several other UC officers.

Since Z was found not guilty, they want to change the judicial system. They want to found a national organization "The group stood at MacGregor Park on Saturday, announcing the creation of the American Coalition for Justice, a coalition of all races." They want to end racial profiling and change the way juries are picked.

Similar to the way an aggressor chooses when and when an attack will occur, we don't get to choose who the next Zimmerman will be. MSNBC has reserved that awful right

Is this the same Dr. Kevin Simms who was involved in some scandal about city contracts and pay to play or something like that?
