Finally, after 3 weeks of zero progress does it show that my fingerprints are complete. Good LORD. Hopefully the background check is done soon and I can get my danged plastic.

Both my and my husband's statuses changed to mailed today - all green baby! Time to shop for the obigatory Hawaiian shirts and start stalking the mailbox.

My CHL changed overnight from "Manufacturing Pending" to "Mailed". Got to skip the Manufacturing step, just lucky I guess.

So far it has been 59 days since I mailed the application. Now on to stalking the mailman, just once a day will work for me. I thank all of you for your comments, etc. as it has helped in this crazy business of waiting. The forum is a treasure trove of information. Next purchase (today) is a gun safe for the night stand.

Looks like things are really speeding up down there! Mine has always changed to mailed

I looked at a BioBox at The Bullet Trap on Monday - thought it was very cool but I think it was like $240 up there. Thanks for the pricing tip. They did have a good sale on guns at the Bullet Trap - my husband picked up a Springfield XD 40 for $360.

Thanks Teamless for the tip. I bought the box for $119. Again thanks to all for contributing to the Forum, it is absolutely worth more than the "admission price".

A lot went to mailed status, won't be long now guys and gals. Congrats to all.

They received my app on April 19 and finger prints changed to complete on May 18, so hopefully the background checks will change soon.

Got home from work and had a large envelope from DPS. THey sent me my certified copy of my DD-214 back saying thank you and that they had made a copy for their records. It said that they did not need my original which it was not. When I got out of the service I took my original to my county records and had them make me five certified copies and log in my original but is was nice of DPS to look out for me like that.
