Hello all! I've been lurking the forums for about a year now, figured I'd like to make comments now
I've lived in DFW for 23 out of my 25 years of life.
I love exploring new areas, bars, restaurants, and trying microbrews.

2. Springfield XD-9 Subcompact with cut down Hogue grip and Pearce grip extension - Winter/Car.
3. Will be ordering an Alien Gear 3.0 with shells for both of the above.

It's a bit of a poke at the fanboys and Mr. Serious' of the gun world.
And I absolutely will! I'm actually waiting to apply for the Texas card, which may set me apart from the rest. I'm having to dig into my early childhood medical records to see if there is anything on it that I would have to have a letter for. Better safe than sorry. So for now my Florida card is being processed and is expected in by mid next month.

Carrying: XD-S 45 in a DeSantis inside heat holster. I will admit, i'm very jealous of my husband's Sig P938 though. I'm still getting used to the feeling and trying to find a position that works best for me. Right now, 2:30 feels pretty good. I really don't want to do bag carry (I don't carry "purses" ) but I guess if i'm not satisfied with a position wearing certain clothes, that will be my backup until I work it out. Husband and I are kicking around the idea of "celebratory holsters" to celebrate getting our plastic in the mail earlier this week.

I'm glad I stumbled onto this forum because the wealth of information is incredible. This is going to be hours of fun. Glad to be here and hope I can contribute sometime in the future!

I just wanted to introduce myself. Been enjoying reading many of the post and thought I would say hello. I'm an avid shooter (as everyone else here) and have a strong preference to sigs, own 8 currently but also own some glocks and Walther's so not a total sigaholic. Anyway I just thought I would say hello and that I've enjoyed reading the quality posts.

I'm 51, married to a beautiful wife, have two teenage boys, a golden lab and adopted a 3 legged German Shepard. I've been in Texas 6 years now and don't plan on leaving. Ran across this site as the new OC laws were passed and found this to be an extremely informative site with regard to those issues. The 3006.com site has been a great resource.

I've recently become pretty enamored by sigs myself and have been looking at Sig 1911s trying to decide if they would be a suitable "big brother" to my P938. Perhaps i'll pick your brain about it sometime
