Spike Lee apparently reposted a Tweet supposedly showing where George Zimmerman lived. Unfortunately for this couple the original post was incorrect.

Seems to me this is a cause of action. I hope they get a lot of money from these people who veil threats.

Spike Lee refusing to apologize for retweeting a terroristic threat. His production company's answer? "No comment." It's time to take out the trash.
The white folk have no monopoly whatsoever on racists, or racist actions...far from it!

I'm with you, TAM. It is time to take out the trash - all of it.

WHAT!!! Not so much as an apology. " Look BUD you gave out the incorrect data, you put two elderly people in mortal danger, the least you could do is apologize."

Thats all right, all the rats are on this sinking ship. I wonder how many will jump and how many will go down with the ship.

The Annoyed Man wrote: OK, that is just about ENOUGH! It's lawsuit time, and a court should empty Spike Lee's bank account and give all his money to this couple.

Last night in the local news I saw a story about an elderly woman in her 70s whose phone number was disseminated by Justin Bieber as a prank in which he tweeted to his fans to call him—KNOWING that this was a false number, and never stopping to think that his millions of fans would make life intolerable for some private citizen. Her phone has become unusable, and her voicemail box is overrun with giggly teenybopper voices begging Bieber to call them back. When she complained to the phone company, the only suggestion they could offer her was that she could change her number.......the number she has had since the 1960s. She said no way because that would mean that she would have to notify anybody who has been in contact with her for over 40 years to notify them of the change, and the onus should not be on her, the innocent victim of an expensive prank to make it right........and she is looking at suing Bieber. I say good for her.

You never even here an "Oops! I'm sorry" out of the mental lightweights who pull this kind of crap. They are far too self-centered to understand, let alone care about the consequences of their privileged actions on regular people. The twits who think that the anonymity of Twitter will protect them from criminal behavior need to be taught an expensive and painful lesson. The baboon who gave out the incorrect Zimmerman address should have to cool his heels in a jail cell for a while for making terroristic threats against an innocent party. These people know no decency, and it is time to take out the trash.
The police should provide security and send Spiked Lee the bill.

Justin Bieber should also have to pay for a personal secretary to answer this poor woman's phone. However, if it were me, I'd get a 900 number and my outgoing message would be to call that number. When this twit's fans got their phone bill I bet he would hear from them and get the message.

BTW: Jenny is still not available at 867-5309 (A number that is now tainted in every area code in the nation.)

Some of you are going off the rocker just as much as the media is with some of these post. What does him having tattoos, a grill, or his taste in music have to do with the case? You can't make statements about wanting to stick to the facts, then act like any of that is pertinent. I know lots of people with tatoos. I know lots of people who like musicians who have made by choices. I'm sure many of you are in both of these camps. I also know a lot of people with grills, and they aren't all bad either. Come on guys...

On a unrelated note, can someone explain to me why so many of you think who was on top before the shooting occurred matters? It has nothing to do with who started the actual fight. Zimmerman's account is the only one we have for before the fight started, and as such unless evidence exist to contradict him should be believed. But to assume that him being on the bottom completely corroborates his story is a bit silly. All that actually means is that he was losing the fight. I do think things are getting much better for Mr. Zimmerman by the day, and hope this thing is sorted out quickly, but it doesn't change the fact that the real important things will always be unknown

It's called 'initial perception'. Everyone makes a judgement on first seeing or meeting someone, even you. It is only AFTER you get to know them that you find they are good people.

Which has nothing to do with whether or not they committed a crime. It's completely irrelevant. I'm well aware that we all make judgements of people when we meet them. My gripe is with assuming that these judgements are correct. The kid has gold teeth and some tattoos. That doesn't add anything substantive to this mystery.

I think KoC that the only reason those things are in this conversation is because at first they were scrubbed up and the picture put out of him was several years old. Even I when I first saw it thought a 12 year old had been shot. If those pushing the "innocent black child (6 foot 3 inch is not a child in my book) got shot by big bad whitey" had not attempted to scrub those pictures then I don't think his appearance would be part of this discussion at all.

Here's why the tattoos, et al, are relevant. When this story first broke, the narrative was that a 250 lb vigilante murdered a 140 lb young black man in an act of racial hatred. Trayvon was portrayed as a model citizen and pictures of him (which much of the media are still using) were more than three years old and made him look like a young innocent child. Meanwhile, pictures of his attacker, Zimmerman, were seven years old and portrayed him as a sinister looking person in a prison jump suit.

Now we know that Trayvon was suspended from school no less than three times; for possession of a marijuana pipe and a baggie with remnants of marijuana in it, for graffiti (during which he was found in possession of a burglary tool and 13 items of women's jewelry) and for truancy. We also know that he may have punched out a school bus driver (according to a tweet from his cousin), that he was living the "gangsta" lifestyle on twitter, and that he was possibly a drug dealer. We also know that he was beating up Zimmerman at the time he was shot. (We don't know who started the fight, and that determination will affect the outcome of any trial.)

So, instead of having an innocent young child being senselessly murdered, we have a 17 year old teenager, 6'3" tall and 160 pounds, with tattoos, a "gangsta" attitude and a possible penchant for violence who was beating up a 5'9" 170 pound man when he was shot because the other man was in fear for his life.

Is it any wonder that people are upset with the media? Is it any surprise that support for Trayvon is waning?

Whether Zimmerman is guilty of a crime or not is for a court of law to decide. But, in the court of public opinion, a huge battle is being waged, and while the left was winning the battle early on, they have lost ground since these facts came out. Why? Because it explains why Zimmerman might have found him suspicious. It portrays him not as a helpless little child but a healthy young man more than capable of holding his own in a fight. And it brings into question whether Zimmerman's claim of self defense is completely bogus or possibly legitimate.

Fortunately or unfortunately; we, all of us, have only ONE chance to make that FIRST impression. That is another lesson that should be taught in the home by the parents at an early age - so sayeth the Oldgringo.

People every day, day in and day out, are getting PLAYED for suckers and fools. There is an elitist group of folks who are running this game, though I'd be hard pressed to tell you who is in charge. I keep calling them leftists for want of a better term; a lot of their "ideology" leans in that direction, at least the parts they present to us regular folks. Many of them are rich, but not all by any means...many rich people are NOT part of this group, so its not simply about money. It seems to be about POWER. These people think they are better than everybody else because of some sort of a connection thing they have...I'm not even sure what the dickens that connection is, but it exists...and central to ALL of this mess is the lying, stinking, filthy, worthless, low-down, sorry excuse for a journalistic system in this nation, and indeed, in the world. They are ALL guilty to some degree, including Foxnews, though until rather recently I found them a bit less egregious than the rest. They constantly parade these "celebrities" around like demi-gods...they push certain politicians upon us and denigrate any they find "unworthy" (in conjunction with their "entertainment" pals)...and they control the narrative of daily life...and not one darned story has pointed this out to me or made it clearer than this shooting incident.

The opponents of self-defense, the 2nd Amendment, and firearms ownership have long stretched the ages of individuals who are shot and killed, calling them "children". One "study" went so far as to label VERIFIED mid-20s gangbangers as "children" (by first calling them "youths" and then implying that youths are simply older children) so they could inflate the numbers of children who were shot and killed in the years covered in said study. People like to believe "experts", but many of the so-called experts these days are FAR from it...and have no more credibility on particular subjects than picking a random guy at a construction site or lady at an office in downtown Dallas and asking them what they think about it. What they DO have is being able to get their position HEARD by the "mainstream media"...and you can look at my posting above to see what I think about them.
