Welcome cg. I missed everything by age. Dad was a WWll & Korean Combat vet though so I have a great respect for all you guys that guard & protect our shores. The last several yrs have been for more eventful than most land lubbers are aware of & probably even me. Thanks & welcome aboard.

Big Thank you from me as well, while I never served I too have a great respect for the armed forces. My oldest son is on his way to joining the Coast Guard in a few days.

Been lurking for a long time, finally decided to join.

Age: 56
I live in Texas City, Tx. I am originally from Fort Worth, Tx. I was born in Northeast Texas (Honeygrove).
Retired Military (6 yrs. Navy, 17 yrs. Army), Refinery Inspector.
Married 32 years. 1 adult son
Years CHL: None yet. I will be taking the CHL course next Saturday in Texas City. Decided it was time to quit putting off getting my CHL. Been wanting to do it since the start in '95.
Carry gun: It will be a Rock Island Armory 1911. Will probably look for something a little smaller.

I collect Milsurps (Springfields, Enfields, Mausers, etc.). I am the Match Coordinator for a Military Service Rifle Target Competition at the Texas City Shooting Range.

Welcome! I do enjoy your match in Texas City...it is great fun. My only wish is that I finished a bit closer to the top of the list :shock: Oh well....I guess that is really not the point!

My wife will be in the class with you next Saturday....I hope you guys have fun. Take care and have a great day.

Welcome scroggwe. Honneygrove ye say. Well my Dad came from Deport. Me & you may be the only ones who know where either of them are. He was Navy too. WWll & Korean Combat vet. USS Lunga Point, CVE 94. Welcome aboard. Congrats on the marrage also.

Hey, I've been to Honey Grove, and one of my best friends lives in Deport. Everybody knows where Deport is... right up the road from Talco!

Man I can't wait to get back to Bloomburg so I will be close to the great city of Texarkana & we can visit about all the tourist attractions around Blossom up north & Cuthand down South. Ain't evabody as well travelled as all us. I knew that statement would smoke the real country boys out of the woods. :patriot: :fire.

Thanks for the welcome fella's. Yeah, I was born in "the Sweetest Little Town in Texas", Honeygrove. My family had 192 acre farm north of there, west of Selfs, until 1994 when my Dad sold it.
