All in date, 1-28. Still nothing.

Last Thursday, I got a message from the Governor's office that they had reached out to "Colonel Steven McCraw, Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, for his staff's assistance in reviewing and responding to you and this office on the information shared."

I still haven't heard anything from Mr. McCraw or anyone else. The one time last week that--after holding for almost an hour--I spoke to someone at DPS, they told me that they had all of the documentation that they need.

Hey cool idea here....lets all pretend we are on the T.V. show "LOST" and this is all a horrible dream that we wake up from and the wait is really not that long and we get our LTC's in a timely manner.

Ouch!!! No offense teachman, I can't wait to see you out of the waiting room!!! Only because it pains me to see that you have waited this long and when you do get your plastic, then you will wait no more.........

Application status as per an email reply: processing. Same as it was last week, last month, and two months prior to that.

My Dad took the class with me, and submitted his docs this morning. He also received an email within a few hours. I don't know if it was because our other docs were already submitted or what, but it was a quick reply for sure.

It must be a canned reply. I got the same one and haven't heard from anyone either.

I'm starting to get very discouraged reading how long y'all have been waiting. I was all submitted on 03/21 and was very hopeful. What a daunting process!

Well, at least one person in my family is all set as of today!

Apparently the process does not take them very long once they actually start working on it. I'm getting really frustrated... mostly of being line jumped by February/March applications. As far as I can figure, they go by your birth date/license expiration when printing your license. My license doesn't expire until my birthday, 06/08 in 2021. So I am likely screwed until well unto June far as I can tell since that is exactly 5 years away from 06/08/2016, the length of time until an LTC expires.

Ok, well just got off the phone with RSD. My application was sent to print on April 18th!!!!!
However, I'm still not showing a status update online. She did advise that it would be anywhere from 14-21 business days once it's sent to print to arrive. (I'm kind of thinking the printers are getting overwhelmed too...)

Status change as of today!!!! So now just waiting for print/snail mail!!!!
