I'm slipping in under the radar here!
Finished CHL class today with Tom and Tami. Got paperwork finished up and ready to go in the mail on the 30th. 60+ days to wait eh? I'll see it in June granted it doesn't get kicked back because the Application form wasn't "yellow" enough for them.

The state received my packet on March 10. The check cleared my account on March 18. The wait is excruciating.
Spending lots of time reading books that document actual self-defense events. Lots to learn from other peoples' experiences.
I'm monitoring
Texas Senate Bill 730 since this will impact my ability to store in my vehicle at my place of employment.

I mailed my packet and after 40 days i just (saturday) recieved my pin # so hopefully it wont be long.

I just took the class last weekend on the 28th and got everything in the mail yesterday, I cant stand it already.

Waiting on my CHL as well. Unfortunately several of the last 5 years I lived in Harris County...
I am actually moving to AZ in June ansd suspect my CHL will not arrive before the move!
Already signed up for an AZ CHL class in May.. I wounder if I will get it before TX?

I mailed my renewal in on the 15th of March
THey received it the 16th.
I checked today. It said processing application. DOes that mean that they received it?

I think processing means processing. Mine ought to be close cuz I mailed mine a few days after you. I don't think they showed a received it but just sitting in the stack status. It goes from nuttin' to processing until its done or they kick it back for some reason.

Hi Everyone,
I'm an old, new CHL holder. Had one from 1999-2004, let is slip, so restarting the whole painful process again. I'm not a patient person!
Anyway, paid online, took the class on March 21st, mailed packet the 23rd, was received and signed for on the 25th. Had a pin from my first go around. Online status still shows "Packet Mailed to Applicant". Trying hard to resist logging into that site more than once a day!
Carried a Keltec P11 in the past, bought a Glock 27 and M-Tac holster for this time, will probably still carry the slightly smaller Keltec occasionally as well.
