Guys, I tried to hold off on this post since last year. I can't contain myself a day longer. IMHO, re: the original product - that dude is gonna get mugged in the parking garage for his man purse, matching duds, and his 1980s Porche quicker than you can say "man purse"! three time fast.

I believe the phrase the law uses is "openly discernible". The gun itself doesn't have to be visible. IMO that covers obvious traditional holsters and the like (but I'm not an expert and I'm not aware of any precedent).
I wouldn't think twice about wearing this out on the street - it's a clear don't for me.
