If a person has a suspended CHL, does it show up as suspended when they run your drivers license? If it does, would it still show up that way after your CHL had expired? I am just curious about whether the police might decide that a Utah permit is not valid if your Texas permit is suspended. I am not asking if it is legal or not, this may not matter when Johnny law pulls you over. He may very well decide to let the court figure it out. Meanwhile...you take the ride. I am also curious if the level of crime the OP was convicted of means one can't carry in their car under the Texas car carry laws?

MPA requirements are
not committing a crime at the time (other than C misd traffic)
not a gang banger
not prohibited from possessing the firearm
not in plain view
