Got stopped for this way back in the early '90s. I don't make a left anymore if I can't merge right away. I've seen some folks driving there for almost half a mile! Either slow down or speed up to merge already!

Sorry, forgot about this thread.

I was able to take the Drivers Ed course and got the ticket dismissed.

So for about the next 9 months, I need to be especially careful while driving.

Not really in the same ball park here.

But I learned how to drive in Germany.

For the longest time after I got back to the States, I wouldn't make a right on red (not permitted in Germany).
Someone would normally have to honk at me.

Hopefully this ticket will be a good reminder of double yellow lines.

I made the mistake of turning right on red IN GERMANY, once...all of the cars behind me were honking at me, after the fact...shame on me!
