Cool! But did you make sure she got the recoil spring in the right way? That's one of the big complaints I've heard - that it is too easy to get the spring in wrong, leading to failures and even spring damage. Check the manual - I think the big end goes against the slide, but check to make sure.

Did y'all see the new P238 models that were just introduced? My wife was pretty sure that she wanted a P238, but when she saw the "Copperhead" on the website she said "THAT'S my gun!"

LOL, well, I did already have the spring on the rod correctly. But good point! I personally like the Liberty Bell model. Same as her Nitron/Rosewood but with the Bell and We The People on the side. I saw the copperhead too and thought it was good as well. We broke it in for a couple of hundred rounds yesterday before carrying and the gunsmith warned me to make sure NOT to push the extractor all the way down when assembling. Seems if you push it too hard and far down it can damage some items. He said he has two going back to Sig because of that. We went to the gun show today to check out holsters for her. Not much luck. Will just have to have Riverrat make her a custom one is all.

Carried my wife to the range today, 2nd outting with the BG 380 it has seen 91 rounds today on the 92nd round the take down lever fell out. The slide almost fell off the frame, had a live round in it, cleared the slide took a while to locate take down lever. Reassemble the gun and put 4 rounds thru it and again the take lever fell out. Got home and googled Smith & Wesson Body Guard 380 take down lever and wow lots of issues with this little gun, have a read and check it out. Hers will be going back to S & W. They said in the forum the serial # starting off EAA are experiencing these and other issues.
