Since the old thread got resurrected, I read it
AND
No one mentioned
Duluth Trading.

I went and tried on 5.11 pants in various styles, also took my gun and a 12" ruler; none had pockets as deep or accessible as Duluth Trading's pants.
Duluth has several styles, look for "deep pockets/12" pockets etc. not all styles have the deep pockets.
12" deep side pockets swallow extra tools and gear

MOST of what I get there has the "deep pockets" but This one does not, (BUT the SNAP Bpocket holds a Keltec P11, and I just dropped a Glock 26 with extended barrel, and 17 round mag from a Glock 17 in the pocket with the SNAP, and it concealed ok, snap closed about an inch above the butt of the pistol [even though extended barrel]and left the other front pocket for front pocket stuff)

That, in tan/brown/kahki is my "Church Dockers" Glock 26 IWB, Kelteck P11 in snap pocket ... other backup guns in undisclosed locations ;-)

I'd still go with IWB for a Glock 26, but that's a great pocket for a PF9/PM9/P-11 etc
Other than that, look for the 12" pockets (or a tailor can add longer pockets/pocket extensions)

Or Chinos
12" deep Fire Hose front pockets

etc

Here you go:

Nice dress pants with a clever pocket system that makes pocket carrying a G26 (or even a Colt Commander) a snap. I have two and carry a G26 in them much of the time. Comfortable, quick-and-easy access to the weapon, and invisible to all but the most discerning observers.

Interesting, neat design. I might like that.

If you fold up the pockets, are they still comfortable for walking all day long several miles such as at a festival/fair etc ?
Or, Do the folded pocket backs or seams chafe/rub the hair off a thigh when walking all day.
My concern is:
The material which against skin when folded... is nylon or plastic or what? Couldn't tell from video
If not folded ... the "hooks" part of the Velcro I'd want to remove or cover for the above reason ... a hairless strip of thigh rubbed raw. The soft loops shouldn't be a problem.

I might have designed them to fold in the opposite direction, so the pocket seam at the bottom of the pocket is between the pants and the pocket, rather than between the pocket and the leg.... if the above concern becomes an issue after walking 25 miles or so at a fair/festival etc for a few days in a row.

>>If you fold up the pockets, are they still comfortable for walking all day long . . .

I recently hiked all day (NM backcountry) in a pair of their cargo pants while carrying my G26 -- no problems. The Velcro strips that face your leg are the "soft" ones.

The pockets can really swallow a larger weapon if you want. I've tried them out with my Sig 228 and a 1911 -- no problem other than the obvious weight issue (if you carry a heavy weapon, you'll definitely need a belt to keep your slacks hanging properly).

Worth checking out.

Thanks :tiphat:

I might try a pair of the shorts ... I rarely wear long pants any more (retired) except on Sundays and doing yard work. So far the Duluth Trading Co long pants have worked great. I'd like some deeper pocketed cargo shorts than my $15.00 Wranglers, (Glock 26 IWB and KelTEc P11 12 round in front pocket ... barely) and I see they have those.

Bringing it back again.

A pair of 5.11 Covert Cargo pants arrived today and they are great. I've only tried them on around the house and haven't tried the cargo pockets yet, but inside the hidden pockets behind the regular slash pockets I can conceal a loaded Glock 30 on one side and carry two 13 round spares on the left side. Inside each of those pockets are two pouches that will hold two magazines or in the case of the gun, the muzzle, to keep it from bottoming out in the pocket. Zip them up and walk around the house a bit and my wife and daughter had no idea. I stood in front of them, held my arms out at my sides, parallel to the ground, and asked if they noticed anything unusual. "No," they both said. Then I pulled everything out and their eyes were huge. Cool!

I also have a Galco 1.75 reinforced Instructor's belt to wear with them. This setup is comfortable so far. I'll try it out in public this weekend and see what I think. I know I won't be able to get to the gun while sitting in a vehicle, so I might have to do something else with it while driving. Eh, we'll see. I've only had them for about 30 minutes. I will probably be ordering at least one more pair and also in another color.
