I've shot plenty of skeet with my 870 pump, (even scored a few 25's), but I wouldn't make that claim. As fast and accurate maybe, but not faster.Tote 9 wrote: I agree, I was once challenged by a pump user who said he could shoot faster than I could with my auto.
I've only owned 870's my whole life, so it's my only choice for a home defense shotgun. I know that if I bought an auto and had to use it under stress, I'd try to pump the action after the first shot.
So, like handguns, use what you're used to shooting at the range.
