I can tell you that the same was true of some Texas tollways for out-of-state plates. It's no longer true (although tollway ownership and systems differ). My point is that you shouldn't think you're safe if you're not running a front plate or out of state plate... States databases are becoming more shared and more integrated.gringo pistolero wrote:None of our neighboring states require a front plate. As a bonus, rumor has it they won't bother sending a red light camera ticket for a vehicle registered out of state to a company or trust.

(B) Subparagraph (A) does not apply to the possession of a firearm—
(i) on private property not part of school grounds;
(ii) if the individual possessing the firearm is licensed to do so by the State in which the school zone is located or a political subdivision of the State, and the law of the State or political subdivision requires that, before an individual obtains such a license, the law enforcement authorities of the State or political subdivision verify that the individual is qualified under law to receive the license;
When you buy a gun from a private seller, do you dutifully mail the sales tax in to Austin?
I couldn't find anywhere in the tax code that such a transaction is taxable. Based on your previous question, I'm sure not going to assume you're right.![]()
How many of us have a license plate frame that partially obscures the plate?
Not me.
You never exceed the speed limit, or roll a stop sign?
No.
But even if I did, two wrongs don't make a right.
Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.

Either way, it eliminates the requirement for a front plate.cb1000rider wrote:I can tell you that the same was true of some Texas tollways for out-of-state plates.
