Refugees fight with police in Europe. One came the whole way with an ISIS flag. I'm not sure of this website. Maybe unreliable. Could be a photo of ordinary EU citizens fighting with the police carrying an ISIS flag, rather than a refugees.
ISIS is saying they have placed 4000 warriors inside of Europe during this refugee crisis. Imagine if they placed only 10 and what they alone could do.
Well the site is unreliable. The photo is old and was taken sometime ago. I found it here from August of last year.

You drag the photo into Google and do a search on the photo.

It is being reported that Muslims in Munich have started a petition to ban Octoberfest.
This is near as I can tell not the case. The petition to ban Octoberfest was started in Malaysia , not Munich.

Ha ha, good one. I lived in Munich for 15 years, my mothers tongue is Bavarian and I can ensure the world goes under in the ocean before the Octoberfest in Munich ends.
BTW, the City of Munich benefits from taxes earned during the Octoberfest and the tax revenue from that short event makes up for about 80% of the city's annual tax revenue.
Most important, people from all over the world enjoy pretty much the best food and beer existing.
And I have seen Muslims there rinking beer!

I had the great privilege of attending the closing of Octoberfest in Munich three years ago. It was a bucket list item. I had the time of my life. Certainly something everyone should do.

Went once back in the 90's and had an amazing time. Now that I'm older, I'm looking forward to going again at some point.

My last vsit was 98 and I had a blast. I think I gained 10 lb. in 3 days but it was worh every penny and minute. A friend of mine was there 2 years ago and he said a beer is over $10 now which is a steep price for 1 l of enjoyment.

True, but I don't think many people go over there worried about beer prices. Friend of mine was there a couple years back, paid $400 a night for a European style hotel room (think broom closet with a twin bed and a shared bathroom) that was almost a mile from the square.
When I went, I was stationed in Wuerzburg and we took a bus up there. 50 GI's sharing one bus bathroom for a several hour drive home.

Ha ha, I can imagine the ride back home from Munich

Yeah. It was the nightmare you'd imagine it was.
Sorry about derailing this thread, BTW.

Went in 2003 while on a 2 week vacation from working in the Middle East. Planned on staying 3 days and travelling around Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. Ended up staying 10 days and drinking in all the major beer tents. Made no plans in advance and had to stay in 4 different hotel rooms but I got a good chance to visit lots of different pubs on the walk/stumble to and from Oktoberfest. Lots and lots of good beer, food, and a general happy atmosphere. I want to go back one day.

You could have visited the Waltrher Factory just about 1.5 h away from Munich. But on the other hand I can understand the magnetic attraction of the Octoberfest clamping you down to the place you've been.

That alone should invalidate it, if they had any sense.
There is also one in the Netherlands. What I don't understand is their level of disrespect for other cultures. In my opinion, a guest should not disrespect or insult a host because of differing world views.
Here is the source

Lets just hope this kind of nonsense comes to an end one of these days.

Was there a long time ago with the family. Watched some German guys downing mug after huge mug of beer. I drank half of one mug and was laid out asleep in my hotel room the rest of the afternoon.
