All you have to do is say you are a protected class. If Bruce Jenner is a woman and Elizabeth Warren is Native American we can all be what ever we want. Then we can claim to be victims of discrimination.

I posted a related note five days ago:
http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic. ... t#p1107040
During Barack Obama's term in office, current to this past August 31, NICS has processed exactly 146,361,074 firearm purchase background checks. Over 146 million during the last seven years alone. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that, in 2015, about 23% of the total U.S. population of 321 million were under 18 years of age. We should be looking at 21 or over, but don't have those numbers. Even at 18-and-over only, that puts the adult population at about 247 million.
That means, during the current POTUS administration, there was at least one NICS firearm purchase background check processed for a number representing 59.3% of the entire adult population in the U.S.
And the millions who are licensed to carry and exempt from an NICS check--like our own Texas LTCs--are not counted among those numbers!
Who are most likely to own more than one firearm? Those who have passed every background check, have a license to carry, and are not subject to NICS checks.
The libs ignore real data because it doesn't advance their agenda.
Three percent of Americans own 50% of the country's privately-held guns? I have a bridge over a huge river in Sedona, Arizona I'll sell you at a steep discount.

3% of 300M is 10m owners assume there are 300M firearms, that mease each of the 3% has at least 30 firearms, there numbers do not compute.

If we get free government money for not having 8 firearms, I don't have any so the government needs to give me 8 so I can be relieved from the anguish of being in the minority class of gun owners. Just pay no attention to any of my posts, if I referenced having a firearm, it was all a lie so I could try to fit in with the cool kids.

Not all states exempt their licensees from a background check when purchasing a firearm. I don't know which ones, but am fairly sure that Kansas is one of them. Several years ago when I purchased a rifle there I didn't expect to be able to skip the background check, but seem to remember them telling me that even those that had Kansas licenses didn't get to either.

It's not states that allow it, it is the ATF:

Of course, there are a few states that have mandated that all purchases will have a background check. There are also a few that do not use NICS, but have their own system instead.

The agenda behind these "studies," unvarnished and complete with the attitude driving it.

He is obviously still suffering from PTSD from having fired one of those terrifying ARs.
I guess mathematics eludes him still. He says there are more firearms in America, that we don't need, because crime has decreased. I call it cause and effect, but in his mind those things are not connected.
And his statement that people who are accidentally shot at home, more than likely had a firearm in their home.
I guess people who are in car accidents were more likely to have been riding in cars?
Yeah, that's their agenda, tell everyone there are only a few people who have guns and then try to get lawmakers to ignore them. Unfortunately for half wits like him, lawmakers know who puts them in office and conversely, who can remove them.

My math sucks... but if owning 8 guns makes you a 3%er... then I guess that I am a 13.5%er then?

you math might be right, but I think that your assumptions are wrong.

Is it coincidental that the 3% number is close to the NRA membership total?
I really don't think they have any idea how many guns there are in civilian hands in this country. There are so many guns produced in the past that were not serial numbered at all and had no paperwork. Do they even know how many 80% lowers have been sold? A better idea would be to look at firearm production totals and import/export data. I am not sure how hard that would be to obtain especially since you would have to go back 150 years.

This relates directly to people who won't divulge whether or not they own guns, especially to strangers on the telephone. I have never been asked about gun ownership by any pollsters/survey takers, and wouldn't admit if I were.
So roughly 1/4 of all Americans are gun owners. And Hillary believes that roughly 1/4 of all Americans are "deplorable".
Coincidence? I think not.
Yep, anyone who disagrees with her belief in disarming Americans, is deplorable.
Side note: I found some t-shirts on line I may order. Just google deplorable t-shirt and there are several options.
All of these studies are designed to portray gun owners, and 2A supporters as a fringe portion of society, so that they can begin to strip away our rights.
I've been trying to find a "basket of deplorables" so I can place it on our coffee table. No luck so far. I may just have to make my own.
I'm thinking of a basket filled with an NRA card, a copy of the Constitution, and some books by Trump and also by various Conservatives. A big stick up sign in the middle can label the basket.

Yes. Great addition!
So far I have everything listed. Just need the basket.
