Possibly Trump is counting on the recency effect and waiting for the third debate to bring out his big guns. He sure wasn't impressive tonight.

Professional liars are just that, really really good at telling tales to fit their agenda. And politicians who have spent decades creating the problems that we now have are professional liars and have much more practice at looking very good during debates. This was Trumps very first one on one debate, and he not only had to deal with that but also that the moderator demonstrated some clear bias against him. I agree that he could have come across better, and that he missed some opportunities to really nail the professional liar. But hopefully the point that he isn't a career politician who has had decades to solve the problems and failed, will continue to resonate with voters. And hopefully he's learned a lot from this first opportunity.

I could only stomach a few minutes, then got up and went into my work room to check on a few things. The MUCH better half watched a bit more of it. I did walk in to hear Trump agree with HiLIARy about use of the "No Fly List" to deny 2A rights. I find that highly troubling. I have a hard enough time with the "list", especially when it's used against citizens. To expand it to denial of our Constitutional rights absent first being given due process is flat our WRONG.

Lester Holt was in the bag for Hitlery. He lied about stop and frisk and he lied about Trump's position on Iraq. :mad5

Didn't expect any less from Lester. She fired off all cannons against Trump, and, at least according to polls, Trump pulled ahead.

I expect Trump to take CO and PA in next two-three weeks.

Reading this thread is funny. I refuse to watch, just like I never watched Survivor. Y'all got four episodes with crafted competitions, then the viewers get to vote one of them off the island.

Everyday I pray for our country, IMO media is feeding the Fifth Column.
My two cents,
Nick

Trump was underprepared. He had so many missed opportunities. He let her off the hook for the emails, he didn't drive home his points on the Iranian nuke deal, on North Korea, etc. He didn't make his point on how her and Obama's Iraq policies created the rise of isis or how us leaving tanks and weapons in Iraq helped to arm isis. She talked about how her tax plan would benefit workers. How? By taxing us till we can't pay our mortgages and giving out entitlements to people who are blatantly abusing the system? I felt like I was watching Trump hit a bunch of foul balls. He just never was able to make solid contact.

Media, that's supposed to be 4'th estate, is the 5'th column.

30 years to think about it. Posted how to fight ISIS on website. Experience, yes, but bad experience.

He had some zingers that will stick.

Totally agree, Holt was giving tough questions to Trump, he definitely is a Clinton supporter. I thought that would happen.
I think Hillary did better than Trump but would not vote for her, she is a liar and more into power than anything else.

He got some hits, but I think that Kellyann Conway is probably slapping him today. I expect a much better prepared Trump in the second and third debates. He really had some opportunities to land some haymakers.

The media are loving every minute of it. It's all about ratings for them. Cnn, NBC, Fox, they are all the same. They will bash one candidate until the polls tighten and then bash the other candidate. It's all about viewers and clicks, and not at all about journalism. They are trying to drive the election in whatever way will put more cash in their pockets.

This morning on the Today show they had "Fact Checking" Donald Trump said crime was up in NYC. Fact Checking = False!!

Crime is down in NYC since 2010 is what they then said.

My memory Trump did not give a time frame when he said crime was up in NYC. I am sure he was pointing to a study that shows crime is up since 2014, since Furguson when the Obama and the Federal Government went to war against local police.

This is how the news is today, They do anything to help Hillary win.

Fact checking is just another way to lie now.
