Called last week Thursday and they said my application was approved and waiting to send to the printers. Hopefully 2 weeks or so. I am picking up my Springfield 1911 GI Micro Compact this week, super exciting!
Anyone get some plastic today or over the weekend?
Not Yet! I called DPS yesterday and the response I got was"Your application is processing". Well, I knew that, she pulled up the computer and looked just like I have been doing. I told her I was trying to find out more about it because they have had my app in their office for 98 days. She told me that "Oh thats not long, it has been taking 3-4 months" :headscratch

Hmmmm..... :totap:

LIA, I'd say it's about time to start beginning to think about calling and emailing your State Senator & Congressman. Remember back in August when several people did that and got their license 2 weeks later? I'd say you are about due to do that.

Just my $.02 worth (I'd type the cents symbol, but it's not on my keyboard)

I will give it until October 2. That will be 60 days from when I sent the second set of prints. So, if nothing by the end of the week, then I am calling my rep.

That is the only thing left that I can do. I have given them every chance to get it done and I think that it has been plenty of time. Especially when I see 39 days, 45 days, etc. :???:

I mean,I hand delivered and got confirmation on the 22nd of June. Hand delivered second set of prints Aug 3rd. When I spoke with the lady yesterday I wanted to offer her help in get the "information" they are waiting for. She was not interested. I guess I can understand that when you handle 12,000 NEW apps per month!!

Actually, I opened a separate blank word document, used the "insert" tab at the top, found the "Symbols" and rooted through there until I found it. Put it on the document and then copy/pasted it into the post. You can actually assign it to a key on the keyboard if you use them frequently, but I didn't see any point in that, as often as I use it. Many other neat symbols in there as well.......

Or the other way......

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character map

Select the ¢ in the grid and click "Select" then click "Copy" and paste it into where you need it.
