I did my first open carry on Monday and first concel.carry yesterday. I was a bit nervous on the OC....I thought people were out to get me. Cc was much more comfortable, but I was afraid someone would see it and tell on me. In printing and unintentionally showing legal now right?

I believe that's correct. My instructor mentioned that amendment was made in 2013 that clarified the wording.

Nice....makes me feel a lot better. Imma have to do both for a little while to see what suits me best. Cc will probably the way I go for the element of surprise. I may OC just to show off and see if I can get a forum goer to notice me and my area :D

Called my State Rep, Tan Parker,on Monday and he put in a call for me on Tuesday morning. I got a call today saying that my LTC will be Mailed Tomorrow.

Well finally today after 120 days of waiting I finally see BG check complete and print pending!! I've been stuck at the BG check pending stage for quite some time...actually since before they updated the site with a true status. Hopefully ill be doing my wally walk soon!

I'm confused by the sequence:

7/21 - Applied online
7/22 - Fingerprinted
7/23 - CHL100 submitted
7/23 - Identogo "Enrollment Processed"
7/24 - Acknowledge documents received

But when I go to DPS site, it still says "Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials". Everything has been submitted but status doesn't change. Is there a problem?

I waited 3 weeks to see any kind of change

I called DPS again today and spoke with another lady who asked if I had sent in my chl-100 I explained that I sent it twice and she then put me on hold. Finally, she picked up the phone and told me they had everything and said it was received on the 23rd even though I sent it first on the 19th and again on the 23rd so my wait time has been moved foward.

I finally got an update yesterday of what's going on with my stuff

How long does it take them to just acknowledge receipt of the application?

I submitted my application online and received notice they had received it within 30 minutes of submitting it. Maybe less.

Yes but how long before you log in to check status and can see something besides "SUBMITTED" show? I believe I read somewhere it takes 48 hours but that's long passed and now I must be setting some sort of record for # of logins to their site!
