I have been watching everyone for a while and kept getting excited that you all got updates. I did my paperwork on October 21st and not even an update yet. I checked the November crowd and they have been getting updates. Mine must be lost in the shuffle...

You need to know you're not alone. I did mine October 28th, one week after you.
until now, I thought I was the only one who got passed up.

I did get an update on 14 January, but it's just been sitting there for the past four days.

On the positive side - back in November/December there were several people that posted they received their plastic without ever getting a single update. I had the notion that different people were processing the applications than those that were updating the computer. Then again, maybe not.

I feel DPS could do a better job letting people know what is going on. I would love to see something that says we have xxxx number of applications received and you are number xxxx so you could at least see progress. I know it is not first come first serve so that would not really work. If they did that, they could work more on applications and less in phone calls. Not that they are answering them at all. Also the application process online is not very clear and leaves you wondering if you did it right. I feel like I am at wal-mart and the person in front of me is having to get a price check with the slowest checker in the store.

Agree with everything you said. I applied 10/6 though my FAST wasn't complete til 10/24 and I can't get any feedback that my application is even on their to-do list. I wonder if I can get the charge to my credit card reversed after 90 days???

Still waiting on my background check. Proving to be another unwanted wait. Mailed Oct. 12, 2013. Status updated to received Jan. 12, 2014 I believe.

I see there are no "November" posters today.
I know there are at least two besides myself (Slobber and JWeaver). There very well may be others.

My application has now been pending background review for six days. I assume Slobber and JWeaver are the same, if not longer.
Meanwhile, I see the November applications continue to process on to manufacturing and mailing.

I'm a November applicant and just got my first update over the weekend. A friend of mine who sent his application back on mid October had his first update on the 31st of Dec 2013 and received his plastic 10 days later. So I'm hoping with the extra help that DPS is getting, it would be sooner than 10 days.

Yeah mine ha been under review since last tue or wed I can't remember. So I guess well see if we get a update In the next few days since there closed today.

I hope it jumps from pending review to mailed the next time it updates. No harm on wishing..

Mailed Application on Oct 22nd.
First update - background check started - Jan 11th
Second Update - background check complete - Jan 18th
Third Update - Manufacturing Jan 20th
91 Days and counting, But all downhill from here!!!!!
