It seems like things are starting to ease up here in San Antonio. The Academy's seem to have a pretty good supply of 9mm (not sure about other calibers). And even though they have limits, they seem to be pretty liberal. I had gone back tonight again, and when I asked the guy what the limit today was, he said 5 boxes per order. I said ok, I'll take 5 boxes. He then said again, 'That's 5 boxes per order, like if your wife needs 5 boxes and your cousin needs 5 boxes etc.'. So basically he was saying I could buy as much as I wanted. I said I was not greedy and just took 5. I've managed to snag about 2K rounds without even trying just the last few days (on top of my hefty stash), so it's not like I really needed any more.

That's been my experience too, they have a 5 limit, but just say you need a bit more and they do it. I checked my inventory last night and I'm good for a few months, I try to practice once a week and shoot 100-200 rounds a session.

.223 is easy to find now and even Academy has the steel case Monarch stuff cheaper than that.

I was having dinner with some friends last night and one of them told us he saw pallets of 223 at the gun show. He also reported seeing MANY AR15's to choose from. It won't take long and the prices should start getting back in line again.

Has anyone in the DFW area seen any .380 ammo of any type anywhere? I bought an LCP about a month ago and am afraid to shoot it because I am so short of ammo for it. I found a box of 25 Gold Dot at DFW Range on Mockingbird and bought it.

If anyone is interested, Academy in Arlington has Monarch 9mm "BRASS", not steel, for $10.99 a box. They are limiting you to 4 boxes and as of around 5pm today still had a bunch.

I found ammo today (Academy at 410 and Potranco - $13.99 for 50 - $30.25 for 2 with tax). Going to the Bullet Hole tomorrow! Gonna sight in the ArmaLaser!

Keep an eye on ammoman.com. He is suppose to be getting a shipment of 380 any day now, but it will probably go quick so you will have to check his sight a few times a day.

Yes, my LCP is post recall, prefix 371-xxxxx.
I also picked up a new mag with the extension. It fits much better.
Can I buy just the extension base to put on the original mag?
