UPDATE: So after being on day 150 + i placed another call to DPS. Although my online status has not changed from Procesing it has been sent for printing....wait for it...wait for it. They had to send it back bc it was printed incorrectly so it will be another few weeks for me.

Day 154 today, checked status online, still shows "processing application." Called DPS, lady said just sent out to be printed, they will mail it out as soon as it gets printed up. , now the real waite begins.

i dont even know what day im on.... probably like 160ish; been toooo loong and same nonsense....

So I called DPS for the first time today and asked about the status of my application. I was told that it was being printed and should be out to me shortly.

The website still says "Process Application" however.

How I think the system works is that the status online doesn't change to "Completed" until the ID has been printed and mailed off as that is the final "checkout" phase for the License. I dont think it switches to Completed when the Background check is finished and the license is sent to the printer. But when the whole process is done.

Now. Granted the girl on the phone didn't lie to me....

and Shiloh on fm 1960 @ shiloh church rd. for the times i like to stay air conditioned .

I hope that is how it works. As stated above, mine is "sent to be printed", but still showing "processing application." From what I gather, it takes about two weeks to a month before getting the CHL after being sent to the printer. Kinda stupid still though, I bet it only takes 30 seconds to maybe 01 minute to print one out. The printer can't be "that back logged."

mine took 4 days .....
i called one day , they told me the background checks just came in and to call back in 2 weeks .
well, 4 days later my app was complete .

i think what they do is send them to the printer in batches .
maybe mine was thrown into a batch that was just about to be sent .

i guess you just never know .
