I finally sent an email to my State Rep early last week to see if it would help since dps would not give me any straight answers on why either my license was not approved in 60 days or why I was not notified in writing why my license was denied or taking longer than 60 days. I also sent DPS another email to see what kind of response I would get from them. I received a response from DPS within an hour stating that they cannot give me an ETA, they are still waiting on my background check (all previous attempts to DPS had not yeilded even this much info). Here's the good part!! I received a call yesterday from my State Rep's office and was told that they did speak to DPS and that DPS went ahead and approved the license and sent it to the printer and that it should be mailed out within 1 week. :hurry: I should also receive my MTAC in the mail soon. Needless to say I have been in a better mood since yesterday afternoon. :anamatedbanana

Still waiting for plastic so I can do my Wally World walk. I've got a Kel-Tec PF-9 for daily carry, with either a Desantis Nemesis or a PocketPal holster (depending on the pants pocket).

Other firearms: Walther P22, Ruger MKIII, S&W Sigma 9mm, Stoeger Cougar .40, Bersa Thunder 380.

Just got off the phone with DPS. Apparently they sent my app back because I was missing a date on residential history and I did not actually 'date' my gaps in unemployment. Problem is, they sent it back in September! So, did the post office screw me over????? Anyway, she's sending the info back out to me so I can make those two corrections, then it will be up for bg check. I should receive acceptance or denial in about a 4-6 weeks from that she said.

USPS, what happened to my original package? Talk about frustrating.

Well the holster I ordered from The NRA Christmas catalog came in a little over two weeks ago but I ordered the wrong size. I sent it back and they sent me the right size last week.
I know it sounds bad but I have not made the Wally walk yet. I did carry my 9mm in the small of my back all weekend. We went to the Zoo, stayed at the Marriott went out to diner, breakfast, Ross and Target but never made it to Wally world.
I must say I was very comfortable carrying and I am looking at getting an LCP or the new Taurus TCP for a pocket carry so I will never be without no matter what I wear.
