Finally did the Wally Walk this past weekend. My better half cracked up when I started looking under cars in the parking lot. It was a good feeling!!!

Still waiting on the postal service to deliver the plastic, but I was getting my Kel-Tec PF-9 all cleaned up in anticipation of the Wally Walk when to my surprise I find that the firing pin has broken on it. Never did any dry fire without snap caps, but I've probably dry fired it (with snap caps) in excess of 1,000 times. Around 260 live rounds through it. Looks like I'll have to send it out to Kel-Tec for repair. Luckily I've got my Bersa Thunder 380 in the meantime. It's a little larger in size and about twice the weight of the PF-9 but will do until I get the firing pin fixed. Luckily I've still got some .380ACP because I haven't seen any in around 5 months.

I have been looking at getting a Ruger LCP but now I’m not sure. I have been carrying my Taurus 24/7 pro compact 9 mm in an IWB holster at the small of my back with absolutely no problem concealing it I even wore it with a tee-shirt pulled over it. If you wear a tee-shirt and a button down shirt over it pulled out and unbuttoned you can carry just about anything back there. I got the holster from the NRA Christmas catalog, and think it is called an IWB fast draw holster. It is not even that uncomfortable when driving in the car, you may have to adjust your lumbar support. I think the only reason I would need the LCP is for a bathing suit. HaHa. :patriot:

Wow es4Me I see what you are talking about, what a mess.
Maybe your husband didn't sound excited because he was thinking about your feelings and didn't want you to feel bad.

Walked out to the mailbox today (in the snow) and found my plastic!

Almost 5 months from the date I took the class... I don't understand why they had me re-do my passport photos (claiming the originals were grainy/blurry) because they didn't use them on my CHL license. They used the photo from my driver's license, which is 4 1/2 years old (and has me clean shaven -- I've worn a full beard for 3 1/2 years now).

Timeline:
July 15, 2009 - CHL Class
August 3 , 2009 - Application Submitted (lots of personal stuff went on in July)
September 10, 2009 - Application Returned: fingerprint issues
October 6, 2009 - Application Returned: photos grainy/blurry
December 4, 2009 - CHL License in hand
