California punched back Friday against two recent landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions. Gov. Gavin Newsom announced he would sign a controversial, first-in-the-nation gun control law patterned after a Texas anti-abortion law....
Newsom stitched the two hot-button topics together in approving a law allowing people to sue anyone who distributes illegal assault weapons, parts that can be used to build weapons, guns without serial numbers, or .50 caliber rifles. They would be awarded at least $10,000 in civil damages for each weapon, plus attorneys fees....
Newsom ran $30,000 worth of full-page advertisements in three Texas newspapers Friday criticizing what he said is Gov. Greg Abbott's hypocrisy on gun safety. The ads parrot a comment by Abbott but substitute gun violence where he mentions abortion.
Got absolutely no sympathy for them. They can vote for politicians who will fund the police and prosecute criminals if they want it fixed. They are getting exactly what they voted for. Texas just needs to build a wall to keep them out of our state.philip964 wrote: Thu Jul 28, 2022 1:50 pm https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/ar ... amid-chaos
New $600 million dollar bridge opens in LA then closes as taken over by street racers, performers and protestors.
Some folks seem to get confused about the difference in a Constitutional right and a priveledge granted by government. You know what I find somewhat perplexing? That a woman who is 6 months pregnant can murder her own baby but if a criminal kills her while she has that same baby in her body, suddenly the baby is a human life and the shooter is charged with two murders. Weird, don't you think?philip964 wrote: Tue Dec 20, 2022 11:25 am Federal judge strikes down California's 'fee-shifting' gun control scheme, which echoed Texas abortion law

Depends on who you hit.philip964 wrote: Sun Jan 01, 2023 2:08 pm https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023 ... e-on-hold/
Crazy new laws in CA.
My favorite “ freedom to walk”. Allows jaywalking.
So if you jaywalk across an interstate and I hit you am I at fault?
