I'm fascinated by the range of beliefs I read and I spend time here to try to understand them and I ask question when things aren't immediately clear to me.
I'm confused by the incredible disrespect I see that accompanies differences of opinion. These seems to be a very small portion of the posters but I'm wondering and so these are fair questions:
Does difference of opinion require disrespect?
If someone's view is different does it mean mocking and belittling are now OK?

You're right about that...Bush was responsible, but not solely. I dare say that I have not heard of one single conservative that agreed with "W" on his initiation of gooberment bailouts.surprise_i'm_armed wrote:03lightningrocks:

it at the end of his term, but Obama is continuing it.
It's unsettling to see billions in taxpayer dollars given away over a weekend to corporations
whose failed bets didn't work out, while getting anything substantive done in DC doesn't
happen.

That was certainly a gigantic bonehead move!EDIT TO ADD: As a matter of fact, the only folks I've seen in favor of the bailouts were the unions and the DC elite...Pelosi, Reid, Frank...you know, that crowd. The same folks who are currently trying to cram a massive healthcare bill down our throats.
