Odd. I thought the investigation would start with the
domestic corrupt practices that allowed them to go to Iraq in the first place.

I wish it had, chabouk. I wish it had. We still apparently have as many mercenaries over there as we do troops -- not just Blackwater (pardon me, Xe) but outfits like KBR who do the cooking and KP. In my day our armed forces were self-sufficient. In classic terms, notwithstanding Washington blather about "trimming down," we have close to twice as many Americans "engaged" as the Pentagon owns up to.

What do mercenaries have to do with this discussion? Was S&W selling mercs at the SHOT show?
