Wow, lots of Milliniums on this post. I almost bought one before I got My Bersa UC9. My lemon was my Taurus model 94 .22 snubby. The yoke assembly came apart and the gun fell apart in my hand from dry firing it; and the sights were crappy and couldn't be tightened. The replacement is a creampuff with >1000 rounds through it.

so far the absolute worst gun I have had the misfortune to own was that Kel-Tec P11. What a nightmare. I shot it a couple of times at the range, putting about 20 rounds threw it and felt like throwing it. Instead I took it back to where I had purchased it and the guy was nice enough to take it back in trade for a Glock 26, which by the way, I LOVE. Of course I had to sweeten the pot with another $200 but was well worth it.

I have not ever had a straight lemon. I do own a SIg Mosquito that is not all that reliable. It will FTfire and FTeject at least once on every magazine. I have several mags for it so its not a mag issue, have tried all kinds of .22 I can find with no luck. I just don't expect it to go bang every time so I am not let down by it anymore.

I've heard that about them but from what I've heard and read most .22 semi-auto pistols can be picky about what you feed them. The guy at Academy said the higher velocity the better such as CCI. They do come with both a light and heavy spring depending on what you're shooting though them. I like the feel of them better than a Buckmark or Ruger Mark III (too cluncky feeling for my taste).

I have a Mosquito, a Buckmark, a Ruger 22/45, and my Dad has Walther P22. I love the Buckmark the most by a LONG shot. Yes .22 semi-autos are prone to failures but the Sig is just not fun anymore. My Buckmark has been the most fun shooting and as accurate as can be. The Ruger is nice, but I don't care for the grip angle or the sights on my particular model. The P22 is fun but not as the Buckmark.

If you read this forum enough you can see you can get a lemon no matter what brand you buy. My boss has a Mosquito and loves it.

I had a Buckmark that, of course, was absolutely perfect, except it felt like a giant pipe on a handle. It was more of a long distance hole puncher for me, and just didn't satisfy my need to shoot a gun. I sold it to buy my revolver, and the Taurus 94 looks exactly like the .357 version, except it has nine little holes in the cylinder instead of 5. I've never had a misfire with the cheap Federal, and naturally FTF, or FTE can't happen on a wheel gun.

I bought my wife a Sig Mosquito - of the Pink variety... She hasn't shot it yet, but I have - it was 100% reliable for me with everything I shot through it. I started off with CCI Mini Mags, then proceeded to the Winchester rounds that come in a wooden box. Very accurate, and went 'bang' every time. That being said, I let some boys shoot it that were at the range that day with some friends of mine - they had constant FTE - I had to pry the spent bullet out of the barrel on several occasions. Each time, I'd load up a whole magazine and proceed to rapid-fire the entire magazine without a problem. Gave it back to them, same problems. Once I told them to stop holding it like a little girl, they had 100% reliability. Just sayin'.... :)

I love the feel of the Mosquito - not too small, not too big. Wish it had better sights though.

My worst gun was a pre-lock Smith and Wesson Sigma SW40VE. It was a good gun until I got it to about 5000 rounds and then it joined the failure a week club. I sent it to a gun smith who went over it, replaced all the springs and the extractor. At this point the gun was reliable for about 100 rounds and then it developed all the old problems again. After about three trips to the gun smith I sold it so cheap that I just about gave it away. Last I heard the current owner is now on a first name basis with at least two gun smiths.

This little revolver for sure. It's mostly plastic and no matter how close I get to my target it never hits it. It does go bang every time though.

I adored my little snubby .38 cap gun back in the mid '70s and to that I attribute my affection for revolvers. There were really no auto handgun toys at the time. Okay I'm feeling a new thread coming on.

OK, my previous post said that the Walther PPK was the worst gun I've ever owned, but I finally took it to the range today, and it appears that S&W did actually fix the problem that caused all the FTFs. I put about 70 rnds through it, including some Gold Dots, and had no problems. However, I really don't like it that I had to leave it with S&W for 10 months to get the problem fixed - if the ramp needs to be polished to get the gun to work, why doesn't it come that way in the box!!! Anyway, I guess I'll keep it for a while now; I think I can probably find some decent use for it - car console gun, etc...

I tinker around a bit and have had to do that for several friends on Walther and assorted other SA's.
