LT, with this rate of progress you'll be ready to come to the TexasCHLforum Day at PSC on Sept. 30th. We just need to find someone coming from your area so you won't have to drive. ;-)

It's great to hear you're doing so well. Everyone in my Sunday School class was happy to hear of your test results and all praised the Lord for his grace.

Chas.

Well looks like I am going to need some treatments.
Got half my staples out today. No evidence of cancer in any lymph nodes. Usually the 1st place it shows up. There is one spot outside the prostate that they said had some "involvement." That is the problem spot. He described mine as:
Cancer is like cats. Some are mad house cats clawing you leg. Others are Bengal Tigers, then every thing in between. You got the Bengal Tiger. Gleason Score of 9 out of 10 on stages of aggression.
One edge of the cancer was w/in .1mm or .003 of an inch from escaping the casing of the prostate. Whew, that is closer than I can group my .45.
Game plan. Started some pills today that will prep me for shots in a few weeks, then radiation. I could choose to put it off for 90 days & get a PSA test then & if it is not good look at startin it then which would put off the radiation for about 9 mo from now. I aint never been one to put off a fight so since I can't pick the enemy I fight this time, I will pick the time & grounds as long as I can.
A good day so far. Hope yours is too.
Jerry

Jerry,

You are wise. Do not let the enemy regroup - you have him on the run, follow up and hit him hard! This is no time for waiting to see a PSA test or anything else - go for the pills and radiation now, and mop up the last renegade cells.

Hang in there!

Regards,
Andrew

Never thought about loosing a gun fight before so, winning this one will just take a little longer to get the No Bill from the Master's Grand Jury. ;-)

This is a fight that you can't lose.

The great majority of people on this earth don't have the blessed assurance that you have.

You're a winner either way, LT. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

BUT, I am praying that our Great Lord and Savior still has plans for you here in on this side of the river.

LT, the only way that I can know you is from reading your posts. And from what I can discern by reading them, you truly want God to be glorified in this journey you're on.

And I believe He will be.

I will continue to pray for God to heal you, either instantly or through medicine, and I also pray that His will is done throughout this battle.

After all, the geatest joy is being smack dab in the middle of God's will.
Shooting a 1911 comes in second on the joy list.

P.S. It's easy to say this when I'm not walking in your shoes. At the same time it was also hard to say. I hope you can discern my heart through this post.
