I did note something strange in the President's remarks tonight. When giving the history of this mission, beginning last August, he went on to say, "Today I authorized an operation (or word to that effect). I thought, "today?" I thought Bin Ladin was killed a week ago, and then DNA tests conducted to be sure. Am I the only one that heard this?

Wasn't there a $25 million reward on hs head?

Wonder if any one will collect that.

If not, give it to the unit that took him out.

he deserves some of the credit as does Obama but the people who really deserve credit are the men and women in uniform who brought hime down, this is something that should be above politics

No need for hostility. President Bush set the wheels in motion for the capture or death of Bin Laden and the goal was met...that's all. Please don't try to spin my words.

Of coarse I'm proud of the brave military men and women in uniform that brought him down.

Trying to bludgeon conservatives with the words of a nut burger like Alex Jones is like trying to bludgeon liberals with the words of a nut burger like Cindy Sheehan. It just muddies the waters and detracts from any clarity of discussion. Of course, if that was your intention.....

I would think most here are above the ranting of Alex Jones, in no way do I think he speaks for conservatives or anyone with half a brain.

Yeah, several of my Facebook friends are running video clips and pictures from 2001, 2007 and other dates saying that he's been dead for years.

- FoxNews story that said he died of lung disease in Dec. 2001.
- Benazir Bhutto talking in an interview about "the man who murdered Osama Bin Laden" before her assassination (was she killed because she revealed that info?!?!).
- Photos of Bin Laden's body from when he was killed in 2007.

There will always be a contingent that believes nothing they are told. Sure, I'm skeptical, but what's the benefit of bringing this out now, if he's been dead for a long time? Politically, for Obama, some time next year would be more advantageous. So why now, if he didn't actually die of acute kinetic lead poisoning last week?

I just listened to a replay. The President said, "TODAY, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation.." What's up with that, the media said he was killed a week ago? I'm confused

UPDATE: Media now reports operation was TODAY.

I bet Nancy PaLousy's ugly face that Odumbell didn't know jack about the operation until after it happened. He was too busy forging his birth certificate and campaigning for 2012.That mealy mouth liar makes me gag. Over the next few months I expect the socialist party will act as if Odumbell was leading the platoon that got Bin Laden.
