Good info... the takeaway for me was, shoot first and shoot often.

Personally, I think both of you are out of line..... but what do I know?

I only know what I know from having treated hundreds of gunshot patients over several years....most of whom survived, but many of whom did not....and having done CPR to no effect of people shot with a .22 in the lungs and other seemingly "non-vital" areas.....and having seen people shot right through the heart with a 9mm and being awake and alert and talking......and having seen two people shot multiple times with the same .44 magnum, one of them DOA, the other dead a week later in ICU with his guts turned into soup......and having seen a guy hit right in the head with a .308 which evacuated most of his cranium, and two years later he was still curled up like a fetus and shivering like a small wet animal. But other than that, I don't know nuttin'.

I certainly don't know enough to insult someone because he disagrees with me.

I'm personally not interested in a protracted line by line discussion and analysis. But I do kinda resent it when people just make up stuff and tell me I said things I didn't, then come online and flame me for what I "said," and so on. Yes, of course, it's possible to take a 9mm through the heart and still be kicking, although I would wager that was ball ammo, not a Gold Dot HP.

The examples given weren't really valid, except to provide fodder to attack me with. The lady who was "shot between the eyes with a .44 magnum" was in fact a woman riding in a car, shot through the front windshield with a ".44 caliber bullet," most likely lead. It broke in two when it hit her forehead and each piece flew laterally. That's a far cry from blowing her brains out the back of her skull with a Dirty Harry gun.

Same goes for the guy who was "shot point blank in the forehead." He encountered 3 bad guys, some "shots were fired" and one shot "struck him in the forehead." That's it. That's all it said. Nothing about "point blank," etc. That was added embellishment.

And yes, a heart shot could be deflected, in some cases, by bone. But then it's not a heart shot anyway.

Likewise, I never "advised" anybody to do anything, as I was accused of doing. I just stated that if I put a potent round through your heart or cranium, you're going down. I originally said "for good," but I will change that to "almost certainly for good." Of course, you may need multiple shots to put somebody down. Anybody knows that.
