I didn't see much "overwhelming support" on their Facebook page. Pretty much the opposite.

Yeah, that statement confused me too until I realized they polled the CEO and BOD.

I dont think Aldi owns sprouts.

AFAIK, its owned and operated out of AZ.

Last time I visited the ALDI locally, they were not posted! If their ground beef and bacon is decent, I will shop there!

I shop at Aldi's in Keller. Good Bacon and Good Ground beef :thumbs2:

Good milk, eggs and house brand products. The drawback to their produce department is they sell a lot of BULK packaging of stuff, which is not so good for a family of 2

But, They do not post. Neither does Kroger/Albertsons/Tom Thumb in Keller. Sprouts is going to regret this decision in Keller, where there is LOTS of competition and LOTS of CHL holders.

Got a reply to my message
Good afternoon Wesley,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our decision to prohibit firearms in our stores. Please understand that we recognize and respect our customers’ rights under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, a right that prohibits the government (but not private retailers) from infringing on citizens’ right to bear arms. That right, however, must be balanced with our need as a retailer to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our customers and team members. That's why, after careful and thoughtful analysis, we have decided to prohibit our customers and our team members from bringing firearms onto our store premises. While this decision may disappoint some of our valued customers, such as yourself, we stand by our decision and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our communities about it.

We hope that you will continue to be a part of the Sprouts family notwithstanding our decision on this issue. We value your patronage and hope to see you again soon.
Sincerely,

Stephanie

I haven't used my Facebook in years but it was worth logging on to see all of the messages about how implementing 30.06 equals lost business. Sprouts was active with another person but they're completely avoiding the gun discussion. Pretty telling.

It's all that overwhelming positive feedback they've gotten.

Correct me if I am wrong but would it not be legal to open carry a rifle into this store, at least until they asked you to leave? 30.06 only covers concealed carry. Not that I am advocating carrying a rifle into the store but only a question of legality.

I sure hope that you are right. I believe that I've cost them 10 regular customers including us. Many of our family members and friends started shopping there because we recommended Sprouts. It took almost no time at all to reverse that recommendation. At the end of the day, however, we will have to have a real impact on their bottom line if there is any hope of a decision reversal. Even if a handful of stores see a sales drop, I doubt that it is going to make the signs come down.

Nitro & Wes got the same "canned" response I did. I'm done with Sprouts....

They will only regret it if the loss is noticable and can be tracked to why. Letters and comments are helpful in explaining the why, so keep it up. :thumbs2:

I personally hand delivered (unarmed) a letter to a local manager, sent a snail mail one to the AZ corporate office and joined the many Facebook posters. Other than continuing to talk to others and discourage them from shopping with Sprouts, I'm not sure what else is possible. I agree that a volume of similar actions may help but it is going to take a volume.

How about we pose this question to them: Not that you have assured everyone that comes into your stores in Texas that law abiding and highly regulated CHL holders are barred from your premises, how will you assure us that criminals will be disallowed from carrying illegal weapons?
