All you LEOs, PLEASE wear your body vests at all times. One of the things the jihadis like to do is create an incident and then wait for first responders to create a bigger one. You guys are in the crosshairs. Please be prepared.
For those of you who think this is crazy talk, you may find out differently real soon. 9/11 is an important date for jihadists, and it's coming up soon.

Things have changed in the past year. The world has woken up and realized that the sheriffs that have always kept the peace (US presidents) are nowhere to be found. In fact they have figured out that the newest one is out back golfing, enjoying a smoke, and could not be bothered by what they are doing.
Our borders are open and terrorists from many shades and philosophies (ISIS, various drug lords) have figured that out.
Now do I recommend OC of rifles to common citizens.......not yet.
However I would recommend having them available.
I would also recommend churches, synagogues and other larger venues take a look at their security. You are not going to stop a firebomb, but if it is a rifle attack, that can be stopped. I would also plead with our LEO's to wear their vests. When and if anything happens they will have big targets painted on their backs.
Also I plan to keep close to home on Sept 11. These guys are killers. If you can't, please be wary. They apparently have a thing for this day.

I have this one. I do wish it had some pockets or molle on the inside to store a mag or two but otherwise it works fairly well and holds more than I probably need to be carrying.
The hesitation I have about using a guitar case is someone will ask you to play. Then I'd have to make up an excuse.

Your case/kit beats mine by price and looks....well done.
I usually look for the cheapest that works when the item is non-critical. I've bought a lot of very well made and functional equipment...like gun belts, AK scope mounts, etc, made by UTG.

Apparently, the FBI DHS are also concerned.

It's not just the folks here. The same type of threads are going on at 2 other forums I read. People are thinking alike. They sense something stinks. Some of us are just more tuned in to what's happening here and abroad.

Maybe it's time to put the G19 back into the rotation.

This case works for me. Well made and inexpensive. Easily carries two long guns (carbine type) without scopes (one with), a handgun, and several mags. "Covert" is up the the user I guess. Too me it looks like a keyboard case.
while looking at that one I saw this thought was nice also

If carrying extra mags and keeping my AK handy in a nondescript bag puts me in "the fringe," I am ok with that.

Apparently, there a lot of "us" out here on the fringe. I don't feel so alone.

Yes, they do.
9/11 commemorates the first day of the Battle of Vienna in 1683. This was the Ottoman high-water mark for European jihad. After the defeat of Kara Mustapha by Jan III Sobieski and his Polish Winged Hussars at Vienna, the Ottomans never again mounted a serious threat to Europe.
9/11/2001 was meant to be seen as the renewal of the Jihad against the West.

That one is nice too, and probably more covert, but I just didn't want to have to break my gun down. Before I bought one, I got a cheap duffel bag and a 6" piece of foam and cut out an insert for a rifle, magazines, and a handgun. I works OK but not quite as polished as what I bought.

ISIS is apparently very interested in entering the U.S. through our southwestern borders, including Texas. I'm hardly an alarmist, but . . . they are coming folks. Let's give them a hearty Alamo Defender welcome. We'd better, because Obama won't.

I'm in. I'm thinking this will happen sooner not later. I was listening to a discussion about this just this morning and one of the participants pointed out that 9-11 happened despite our feeble intelligence and cost the terrorists less than 1 million in cash.
ISIS is the richest terrorist group in history, and our borders are open. Recipe for disaster.

As an El Paso resident this certainly got my attention. While my eyebrows are raised, I will take my cue from Ft. Bliss on this. If they up their threatcon, then it is probably actionable intelligence and I will act appropriately. My wife works on Ft. Bliss in a very prominent building that I'm sure they would love to target and it pains me that she cannot arm herself even to and from work due to DoD regulations. I have asked her to consider taking the 11th off but I doubt that she will.
