Me too. Wouldn't even think twice about it... Hindsight is always 20/20, but we don't get the benefit of knowing this when assaulted in this fashion and hesitation kills...
After seeing the video, this "hero" along with other "heroes" should consider themselves damn LUCKY they didn't get shot or stabbed...

It is a shame that we don't (yet) know more than the idiot supposedly saw that the guy had a gun under his coat. Meaning that we don't know what that means - did the guys coat blow open for a moment, or whatever. But it is unlikely that the idiot has x-Ray vision. Beyond that we don't know, and when the details come out it likely won't get press coverage. Thankfully the idiot hadn't "brought a log"

This article says he saw him holster his gun. Don't know if it was in his vehicle, etc.

Maybe he has it in the console and was putting the holster on his belt to go in. Just another reason to be sure to be discrete and make sure no one sees you arming or disarming if you do it in a public place.

Well, a gun in a IWB holster around the backside is not very accessible while driving. I can see the wisdom in pulling it out in the vehicle.

Except Fl law specifically stats that is permissible, reasonable and allowed.
TX law of course says differently..and I wish it was more like FL law in this case.
I agree that a concealed HG should for all reasonable reason remain concealed and that is always my intent. Yet I would like the public display to not be an issue in any way, not just a defense to charges.

...and if you were a Ninja you could jump 10' straight up, do a back flip - land behind the attacker and paralyze him with a finger to the base of his skull.
