I phoned and asked that he would stop holding up the passage of the bill, and reminded his factotum that if they have amendments they would like to add, to be a statesman now and allow the bill to pass as is, and then to amend it in future sessions - JUST LIKE WE DID WITH CHL. (I did not shout that last part.)

In the end it doesn't matter why Huffines is doing this, but that he is doing it. If HB910 dies because he is pulling a "Stickland" then it falls on his head, even though he, his friends in OC*, and on the various social media platforms are too blame. This amendment would not have been controversial if OC* along with Stickland had not run their mouths about sneaking unlicensed carry past (which they didn't) and if CJ Grisham had not pulled his Oklahoma stunt. But thanks to Stickland, Grisham, and OC* this amendment is too controversial to pass without a major fight AND I am afraid their fight for it may kill this bill.

BTW, OC* is a stand in for OCT, OCTC, CATI, and all the OC organizations that put so much effort into derailing licensed OC but now claim to support it while their man in the Senate kills it.

Is there a live broadcast of this somewhere? All I can find is the Senate Committee on State Affairs meeting, and they are discussing other items.

Called talked to Hutch and he asked for my Zip Code. I told him I respected the Senators position but he was endangering HB 910. I asked that the Senator withdraw his amendment.

Posted a request to Senator Huffines' FB page politely asking him to pull the amendment and help get this bill on the books. Also sent an email requesting the same.

We can hope in the almost 2 hours some arm twisting happened.....
We will find out in about 5 minutes.
