I just stopped and faxed my affidavit and documents to the attorney general's office. When I get home in a few minutes I will upload those for Charles.
Thanks you! Fort Worth Zoo is especially important in view of former Rep. Lon Burnam's lie he told in a hearing in 2013. No elected official should get away with what he did.
Chas.
Help us out on the quote for those of us who have shorter memories?
Nevermind... google saves me again:
"Burnam lost his primary bid, but last session he flat out lied about the Zoo owning the property and he treated Rep. Guillen like a dog in the process. I had the contract in my hand and knew he was lying. "

Is there a reason NOT to inundate them with forms?
No legal reason, but I don't want the media and zoos to point to the "gun community" and say we're just trying to be obstructive. There's every reason not to bury the AG's office with complaints and that's the next step in the process.
Chas.
I agree. I also think an OC rally on New Year's day is not a good idea. It may be legal but will bring the wrong amount and type of attention to what we are trying to do at the zoo.

The media, Lon Burnam, the MOMs and other anti-gunners would have a field day with this! Coverage would be all over the evening news and this would be the environment that the AG would have to deal with if/when it files suit against the City of Fort Worth.

It's way too early in the day to make me to need to puke. Please rethink that.

Rather than a rally, I suggest maybe a single individual with LTC open carry a full size. In a belt holster, maybe with jeans and a dress shirt, and just see what happens. Not to push it in people's face, but to exercise a right in a completely lawful manner. I'm not volunteering...yet, but eventually we must not be intimidated into not doing something that is perfectly lawful.
If I were to do it, I'd do it on a slow day, maybe a weekday during a holiday when no school groups are there...just to avoid any concern of violating 46.035. I guess I have till January to think about it.

Having lived in an unlicensed open carry state, I believe open carry will be a non-issue here as it was there. Exercise your right but do it without drawing intentional attention to yourself.

OC will be an issue for those who choose to make it an issue.

That was said "tongue in cheek". I don't ever intend to OC anywhere in town... I don't trust the FWPD to handle it properly.

According to the Dallas Morning News blog link dated today
http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/ ... 2f3e97a9a8 Fort Worth will
not remove the signs:
The Fort Worth Zoo has received a couple such complaints, though a city spokeswoman said “there are no immediate plans to remove the current signage.” And it’s likely that more complaints will continue to arrive in the coming months.
The article further states:
The complaints at the zoos – privately run, but on city-owned property – were expected. The zoos have pointed to various exceptions that would allow them to bar guns, such as the Fort Worth Zoo’s designation as a child day-care facility.
(It’s unclear if complaints about the Fort Worth Zoo have been sent to the attorney general, though two have been sent to the city.)
Guess the reporter didn't get a copy of my complaint, affidavit and evidence I sent to the AG Wednesday.

Only two send to the city?!?!?! Yours and mine?
I held off in sending to the AG per Charles' recommendation.

One would have been mine. The guy who wrote the blog post is the same who contacted me for comment since the COFW gave him my contact information.

Must have been yours and rtschl's then. I sent mine in 1- 2 days after his.
I can't wait to hear how the whole "We are a daycare" thing goes over with AG's Office.
