I had to say a bad word at Yahoo news. That online new is one-side and bias news outlet. They deserve that word.

The Senator from Illinois thought he was writing his name I guess...crazy2medic wrote:Flake from Arizona and the republican senator from IllinoisTexasJohnBoy wrote:Who were the R's that voted for it??
Not a fan of Cornyn but I suspect the "bone" might be a political ploy to get the gun grabbers on record before the election.mojo84 wrote:I'm glad to see all the bills failed.
However, I find it interesting Cornyn threw the dogs a bone with what could be argued is a reasonable compromise and even that was rejected. Haven't seen the vote breakdown yet but suspect the dems universally rejected what could be argued to be a "common sense" compromise that might have actually been helpful in preventing at least some terrorists from legally purchasing a gun. Now their true motives and intentions can be highlighted with a vote to back up our position.
The next time a progressive dem or a moderate republican tells me "common sense" legislation needs to be passed I can remind them how it was their party and buddies that have rejected "common sense" legislation that may have had a chance of having an impact.
For the record, I have my issues with Cornyn but I am trying not to just blindly reject a person in total just because of our disagreements in certain areas.
That was my thought as well.Jim Beaux wrote:Not a fan of Cornyn but I suspect the "bone" might be a political ploy to get the gun grabbers on record before the election.mojo84 wrote:I'm glad to see all the bills failed.

So, those of you who ordered Crow, how would you like it cooked?

Okay, I admit that I was having a little fun with my prior post. That said, there is a message.Charles L. Wanted to buy a new gun, but I figure an investment in keeping what I have is a better thing right now.
Thanks for the post Charles!
