This is true, but in the case of the breakdown lane vs. shoulder, you are still talking about the same (in this case - "location"). With magazines vs. clips, they are not the same (in this case - "thing/part/item..."). They serve different functions. That said, you are right when you say, "It's all in what you are used to." If you are as old as I am, and likely carried an M1 Garand at some point, you are probably used to "clip" as the firearm loading device.
