And to think I grew up about 30 miles or so from Houston back in the 60's-70's and would go to Houston all the time to movies, run around, Astroworld, Astrodome for games and such. I try to avoid all parts of Houston now like the plague.

I lived there from the fifth grade through the eighth and I am of the same mindset as you. My son lives with his wife and my two grand kids in Pearland and I must visit there to see them. If not for that I would never go anywhere near that place.

Man threw a cinder block through their back door late Saturday night. Entered their home. Began stealing and destroying their home. Both husband and wife tried to stop him. He beat them with a hammer. Husband hopes to be able to see again.
Maybe they will be armed next time.

Husband said he shot intruder 3x in the side, but not sure if that's what ended the fight. All three went to hospital, Intruder lived, in jail facing various charges.
